About Us and These Terms

Welcome to WP Ghost (short for Hide My WP Ghost)! By accessing hidemywpghost.com, a WordPress security tips and plugins service website, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. When we say ‘we’, ‘us’, ‘Sites’ or ‘WP Ghost’, it refers to our ownership and operation of the WP Ghost site.

We own all virtual products on WP Ghost, including those shared on the WordPress directory, under the GPLv2 license.

How Downloading and Registering Items Works

  • License: Upon downloading and activating a virtual product, you receive a license to use that product for the purpose specified during the activation process. Ownership of the product remains with us.
  • Services: Customers receive services such as account support, fraud protection, and library quality control. Initial installation support is provided for your first website, with additional support available for a fee.

Buying Virtual Products

  • Payment: Payments can be made via PayPal or credit card through our third-party gateway (Paddle.com). Subscription-based services require agreement to specific payment terms.
  • Failed Payments: If a regular payment method fails, your subscription and product license rights will be suspended until payment.
  • Currency Conversion Costs: You are responsible for all currency conversion costs. Your financial institution controls these fees.
  • Taxes: Prices include all applicable taxes and fees.

Intellectual Property

  • Ownership: We own all content on WP Ghost, including design, trademarks, and other intellectual property. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without express permission.

Our Use of Your Information

Liability and Indemnity – Between Us and Subscribers

  • Consumer Laws: We comply with non-excludable consumer guarantees. Our liability is limited to replacing or paying the cost of replacing the relevant product or service.
  • Blocking and Termination: We may block, terminate, or refuse to process a payment if there is a risk associated with your subscription. This includes transactions involving sanctioned persons or countries.
  • US-Specific Controls: Our products are unavailable to individuals in US-sanctioned countries or on the US Treasury Department’s SDN list.

Notices and Changes

  • Notices: Send notices to us via email. We will email notices to the address you provided.
  • Changes to Terms: We may change these terms at any time and will notify Customers of material changes. Continued use of our services after changes constitute acceptance.

Interpretation and Applicable Laws

  • Interpretation: Terms like ‘include’ and ‘including’ are not limiting. All discretion is our sole discretion.
  • Applicable Laws: These terms are governed by the laws of Romania, and you submit to the jurisdiction of the Romanian courts.

Policy for Purchasing Unlimited Websites Plan

By purchasing our unlimited websites plan must adhere to the following additional terms:

  • Usage Restrictions: The unlimited plan is intended solely for agency use and must not be resold or redistributed to third parties outside the agency. Agencies are only allowed to add proven clients with an active working relationship.
  • Compliance: Agencies must ensure all WP Ghost websites comply with our terms and policies. Only agencies with an active working relationship with clients may add those clients to the unlimited plan.
  • Support: Initial support is included for the first website owned by the agency. Additional support for subsequent websites will incur a fee.
  • Monitoring: We reserve the right to monitor usage to ensure compliance with these terms. Misuse of the plan may result in suspension or termination of the agency’s subscription without a refund.
  • Payment and Renewal: The unlimited websites plan is subject to the same payment and renewal terms as individual subscriptions. Failure to comply with payment terms may result in suspension of all services under the plan.
  • Liability: Agencies are responsible for any violations of these terms by websites under their management. Indemnification provisions apply to agencies as they do to individual subscribers.
  • Unfair Competition: Agencies are prohibited from selling WP Ghost products at a price that undercuts our standard pricing. Such actions constitute unfair competition and harm our business.

Notification of Unfair Competition

Suppose we identify an agency engaging in unfair competition by selling WP Ghost products at a reduced price. In that case, we will immediately terminate the agency’s subscription without a refund.
