If you are using WP Engine to host your WordPress website and want to increase its security by using WP Ghost, follow the steps below to set up Ghost mode and add the necessary records in WP Engine.
After saving the settings, check the rules you receive in the notification bar and go to the WP Engine User Portal.
Note! If you don’t see the WP Engine notification, select WP Engine from WP Ghost > Advanced > Compatibility > Server Type.
Go to your WP Engine panel, select the domain and go to Advanced > Web Rules section.
Click on the Rewrite Rules tab and then the Add Rule button to add the rules from WP Ghost to WP Engine.
Configure your redirect by selecting the action as Internal Rewrite adding the Source and the Destination URL. Then, according to the rules from WP Ghost, choose to Keep the original query string.
Click on Add Rule to create the redirect rule.
By following these steps, you should be able to set up WP Ghost and add the necessary redirect rules in WP Engine to increase the security of your WordPress website.
After saving the settings in WP Ghost, check the rules you receive in the notification bar.
Important: After uploading, edit each rule and change the Action to Internal Rewrite manually, as this is not set automatically during bulk upload.
